Travel Tuesday: En Vogue

Vogue.com has really been hitting the nail on the head with its travel features lately. Recent ones include an interesting look at Hamish Bowles' trip to India, where he stayed in shabby but chic mansions owned by Portuguese families in the 19th century. Complete with ballrooms painted in fading turquoises and chartreuses, the mansions hinted at the glamorous parties they once held.
He explored not only crumbling colonial mansions, but some of the most beautiful temples in the country. Below are photos of the Maheshwar Temple and the mausoleum complex at Mandu, an 11th century city chock-full of harems, pavilions, and decorative royal baths.

If you're in the mood to embrace the winter, be sure to check out Vogue's guide to après ski activities, spas, and bars to channel your inner ski bunny in places ranging from Aspen, CO to Big Sky, MT. Below are pictures from the Jackson Hole Aman hotel's stunning 35-meter pool made of quartzite tiles and the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe outdoor pool. Take a peek and dream away!
